17 years ago today the world changed. I remember it so vividly. I remember wondering which of us wouldn’t survive the aftermath, knowing some of us would fall. I was right. We didn’t all survive the aftermath and some of us did fall. Some of us got hurt. Some of us lost our minds. We VMI guys represented the best of what America had to throw at a cunning and embedded enemy.
Since 1839 we have never failed to answer the call. 17 years ago, when the call came again, we again answered in the same strong, violent, determined manor we always have. Every ounce of Keydet blood spilled was given back 100 fold. We are still here… and most of them are long gone. Rah Va Mil!
